Fungi Day for Beginners

I had a fantastic morning in Stoneycliffe Wood, with two excellent members of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.  It really is a very lovely woodland and we spent our time among some amazing old oak trees, finding lots of different kinds of fungi.  It was good to have the expertise on hand too - I learnt lots, but at the time of leaving this little brown shroom still hadn't been identified.  I walked back to my car via a birch section of woodland where there were fly agarics galore dotted about under brambles along the edge of the path.
