Waiting for the Train

One of the best things about travelling is talking to the locals and Mr isbi never misses an opportunity.
This young man was waiting for the same train as we were.
He is a soldier and amongst others things has completed two terms in Afghanistan. However he is returning to civilian life soon as he is married and hoping to start a family. No doubt his wife is very relieved.
It sounds like he has done his bit for the country.

Our trip was three and a half hours west through some beautiful autumn colours to Great Barrington in Massachusetts.
We are staying in a very nice Air BnB here.
Our friend Ron, an expat Australian formerly of Blackheath, picked us up from Pittsfield station and is lending us a car for the next couple of days.
We enjoyed another home cooked meal with him and Judith this evening.

The extra is a Boston police car. They obviously aren't into wasting money on new vehicles until absolutely necessary.
