Heart of the Sun

At the heart of the sun, photons begin what actually turns out to be a very short journey, not the 40,000-year trip to the surface some physicists have postulated to make a point.  This palm tree stump makes me picture what the sun might look like, pared in half, in black and white, and made of palm tree stump.  8^)
