Tatsfield

Saw a sign for Tatsfield today and could not resist a detour to explore the village where my paternal grandmother grew up. It is one of the highest villages in Surrey perched on the North Downs with wonderful views. Found this very old church where some of her ashes are scattered,  as well as a geocache.  Now I need to do some research to find out where she lived as a child and see if I can find the house

PS Found this on the BBC Domesday reloaded site :-

The church is built of flint, chalk, firestone or
upper greensand and a yellow stone peculiar to
the district. It is very small, the nave
measuring 43ft by 21ft.It dates back to 1075

I should have gone inside! Maybe next time.
