Out with the old & in with the new!

Here are a few views of the new Manchester Royal Eye Hospital - notice how they have done the Welcome sign!  Clever eh?  You can see some old pictures of the Eye Hospital etc. here.  Quite a change I'm sure you will agree.  The new hospital is so bright and colourful and even has "tactile" art encouraging all to touch - I liked that and it makes you think about the precious gift of sight..

On the way out we passed another old building which is still in use - Cobbett House, the Headquarters of the Central Manchester Foundation Trust (CMFT) - look at the incredible architecture - you don't see that any more & right opposite is the fabulously modern City Labs - part of Corridor Manchester with it's ubiquitous Starbucks!  Wouldn't be right without one would it :)
