Dookie

Our walking group headed for the old rail line through Dookie today and finished with a walk through Tallis Winery. 13km in all so feeling a bit fatigued tonight. The landscape is wide and beautiful, covered in growing canola crops and backgrounded with the Strathbogie Ranges. You may laugh at the height of our ranges, but remember we are a very ancient country whose mountains have been worn down and eroded over several millennium. They make for a very serene rolling landscape. My extra is really a weed growing along the walking trail. It may be pennisetum villosum, but seems to have a much more pink/purple tinge to its feathery heads. I really like its fuzziness.
