Mum's Special Verse

This was stitched by a dear friend for Mum's 60th birthday, a verse she held onto throughout the highs and lows of life.

And I found these words this afternoon, which she had written on a scrap of paper. 
"Look backward with gratitude,
Look forward with hope,
Look upward with confidence."
