Norman Rockwell

We had this up our sleeve for a rainy day, but as none have been forthcoming we visited the Norman Rockwell Museum this morning.

This iconic American painter and illustrator was probably best known for his covers of Post magazine over almost five decades and his four paintings illustrating Roosevelt's speech on the freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want and freedom from fear.
Fascinating stuff. Google it (I can't do a link on the iPad).
It was so nice to see the works of an artist of undoubted talent, AND photography was allowed :-)

Another walk amongst the leaves this afternoon.
We will be sorry to leave this lovely place tomorrow. It has been so relaxing. A home away from home.
