To New Zealand

A travelling day today.  Sharon's brother took us to the bus stop and we caught a shuttle bus to the airport.  We then ran through the usual stages of check-in, security and customs.

At check-in they wanted proof that we were leaving New Zealand again once we got there - we finally remembered that we had an itinerary with us!  Security was fairly painless, but then we queued for over half an hour for the exit Australia customs desk.

The flight was fairly uneventful, and again we had no-one sat next to us on the third seat in our row.

We had fun on landing - Tim got refused access at the automated customs gate, so had to go queue up for a real person to have a look.  This meant that he got a stamp in his passport.  Sharon squawked from the other side of the desk and the lovely customs lady gave her a passport stamp too. :-)

We then bought a phone sim card, picked up the car, bought some food and then drove through to Hamilton, arriving at 9.45pm.

The blip is of a random lake east of Melbourne.
