Bovinophobia

Ten months after Basil and I were nearly trampled to death by them, I'm still somewhat wary of the herd of Belties over the common. For the last three days they've taken to grazing amongst the heather at the far end of our route and today they had spread out so that they couldn't be completely avoided even though I took a detour (slipping on a cow pat in the process). Fortunately we only had to walk right past two of the sixteen and one of them was Billie (pictured) who is our favourite and seems to be a pacifist. I still found myself with sweaty palms and weak legs as we passed, however taking photos of them serves as a kind of therapy so there may well be more to come!
