Westonbirt Arboretum

B and I spent the day at this fantastic Forestry Comission site.  We were lucky to have sunshine for a few hours when we arrived, which changed the conditions for taking photos from last year when it was overcast, so we concentrated more on the effects of light this time.
This huge site is just stunning, and the long drive each way prohibited us from visiting it all in a day but the time we spent there was just magical. After lunch it clouded over so we put our cameras away and just enjoyed wandering around enjoying the trees,  colours and wonderful vistas.
One of the extras is of an amazing curve of fungi we can across, from a distance we thought they were shrubs!
