Proud Weegie

Hair today, gone tomorrow

A very big day for my youngest.

Today she was heading off to Brownie camp.  The same Girl Guide Building that her older sisters and her friends stayed in a few years back.  A fabulous wee building, run by selfless, inspired women.  Bunk beds, open fire, massive kitchen, and acres of countryside to explore over the weekend.

This year's theme is 'Around the world (in 2 and a bit days!)'.  On a previous trip, my older girls camp theme was 'Christmas comes early' ! That was a big hit with the Brownies.  Christmas tree, Christmas dinner and presents all in October !

No 3 was very excited with this years theme (it coincides with our band's 'Test piece' for the next Scottish Championship).

Also today, No 3 went for the chop.  She had her hair cut for The Princess Trust  a charity who makes wigs for children.  She loves her new haircut - and delighted that some wee girl somewhere may get a wig made with her hair.   As an added extra, the cost of the haircut was donated towards the £350 it costs to make a wig, and other donations were spontaneously given by the ladies in the hairdressers today.

No 3's tresses and the donations will be sent to The Princess trust forthwith !

I'm sure No 3 will have a great weekend with her new hairdo ! Our Weegie house is very quiet with her absence.
