Cold Pigeon

Our granddaughter Victoria came this morning to earn pocket money to buy Christmas presents. As we now do not have a builder, but are finishing everything ourselves, (with trusted people, supervised by my husband, doing the parts we cannot, changing the boiler for instance) there are plenty of jobs to be done. This morning she helped my husband with some work being done in the bathroom.
 
It is very cold today and this picture shows a pigeon fluffing up its feathers; in fact it was fluffing them up for about fifteen minutes. I thought at first that it was hurt as it was not walking very well, but it seemed okay after having a drink from a nearby puddle and then flew away.

It is so cold today that I have not been outside, I even took this picture from indoors, through the window.
