Porchester Crematorium.......

Left home quite early this morning in search of some Autumnal colours.
I paid  a visit to a couple of local parks, and went to all of the local wooded areas looking for a really good splash of reds, yellows and oranges.
I was hoping for a display like a firework display on the Thames to mark the arrival of the New Year, instead I got that single roman candle that you had in the back garden when you were a kid. Neither the Meon Valley with the Bere Forest or the Q E Country park showed any real colours, there were trees dotted here and there that had lost all traces of Green, the majority of which were a rather washed out Yellow, with no traces of Red or Orange. Without a doubt the most colourful scenes I came across were on the embankments along the A3, M27 and their various sliproads, so the colours are out there, they'll just be more arkward to get than I'd imagined. Of course things may change in the next week or so.
Determined not to arrive home with an empty memory card I called in at Memorial Gardens, which sit next to Porchester Crematorium. As ever the gardens didn't disappoint, Butterflies, Dragonflies, birds, and squirrels in abundance, all enjoying the late afternoon sunshine, which was suprisingly warm. Needless to say the memory card wasn't empty when I got home.
