Skyline Frankfurt

Another day of traveling, this time home. Waiting at the airport, time to reflect and write an early blip.

Traveling by train was a joy as always. I really love the old train stations round where I am from. At some stage I'd love to turn them into a photo project. One member of the family would be easily convinced.

Refugees are the big topic. Some trains delayed due to border controls, AFD and pegida operating on the far right end of the spectrum, a politician gets seriously injured during a right wing motivated knife attack. I noticed people helping refugees sorting out trains. Dark times, it is so easy to slip into some fascist society. Fear of speaking out, fear of loosing your more or less comfortable life is feeding the brown swamp. Surely with all our wealth (concentrated with few) and knowledge (mostly accessible to all who care to look) there must be a way of organising ourselves in a better way.

On a more personal and privileged note, the nice bar at Frankfurt with the reclining Goethe is no more. More of the culturally homogeneous cardboard sandwiches. At least there is still beer albeit in plastic containers.
