Rosehips.

Well- I think so?? There are quite a few of these around at the moment on our dog walk- they brighten up the hedgerows.

I had forgotten that when I was young and living in Scotland, they were called ichycoos:

A word used to describe the large berries found growing on rose hip bushes. They get their name from the seeds found inside. When the berry has been split open, very small, hairy seeds fall out which when in contact with skin irritates it.

Finally got a text from O at 7.30 this morning to say that she had arrived in Malaga safely, but was so tired she went straight to bed.....
