Heroes are made this weekend

Good morning

And so it begins, the anxious, sweating, nervous pacing of the floor, staring at the clock hoping against hope, knowing deep down that there's absolutely nothing to fear, that nothing short of the ultimate catastrophe could even come close to damaging this dream of a run - and those sort of things have been placed so far in the memory banks they will never be recalled -

And so, my friends, relaxation should be the theme of the day

Ahem, garcon, innkeeper, waiter, barkeep, somebody, anybody, a bottle of your best if you please!! Do keep it coming

The All-Blacks have the Springboks this weekend down in London and somebody I know (moi) shall be in attendance. Due to circumstances outside of my control, ("Her Lewis" being down in Texas, and on the telly) I shall be "on my own" so 'best behaviour' may be somewhat lacking

And if form holds true . . .  well, here's hoping they didn't leave all their tries in Cardiff - "ka mate ka mate, ka ora ka ora" -

Moving on . . .

In the center of town - Coventry - (Broadgate actually) there's a clocktower, not as big or famous as the one down in London; heck there are people born and raised here who probably never realized it's a bit of a historical artifact, but it is.

(not going to bore you with facts: this time)

The "Godiva" clock is generally ignored by locals and visitors alike but do yourself a favor if ever in town, take a moment on the hour and watch as Godiva rides out and Tom sneaks a peek
