Renaissance

My uncle was a builder and worked on a large number of properties in the generation of the new town Telford back in the 70s/80s. He showed me around a number of them and even though I was young, I was surprised on how poor the design and construction was. I think there is something of a renaissance at present in home architecture and I love this relatively new development on the banks of the River Foss in York. Beyond is the Grade II listed Foss Islands Chimney constructed in 1899 - still standing proud but surrounded by retail units. Almost certainly the subject of a future blip in it's own right.
