Tulips....

I like seasonality. I like things to appear in their proper order as the year unfolds. The big supermarkets have partially ruined seasonality and import our food from around the world so we can have strawberries at Christmas and the like. It seems to be spreading to flowers. Roses are available all year around with them being flown in from Africa. And I spotted these tulips in a new flower shop on Chorlton Green. We haven't even planted ours yet (we like to buy them at the Christmas Markets) because if you plant too early they can be attacked by various diseases. Yet, seven months before they will bloom in outer garden, here they are on sale in October. At least they are a nice Autumnal, Halloween orange.
