Mostly Six Five Oh

NE 9th at NE Multnomah

Ok, so in contrast to yesterday's unhappy building development blip, today is a much welcomed one - at least as far as I'm concerned.  I've been documenting this massive project since last year.  It's essentially done, the sidewalks all around are now open, people are moving in.  Where once there was nothing but grim parking lots and an unpleasant ghost town feel after 5:30 p.m., I am hoping to see life now there are places for people to live.  There is retail space at street level along 9th, Multnomah, and Holladay streets, and I was very happy to learn that the retail space in this particular building here on NE 9th at Multnomah (kitty corner to where Nordstrom used to be) is going to be a Green Zebra grocery store.

Misty and dark this morning but the afternoon was great, 66ºF.

Movie I watched last night:

Iris (2014), documentary on Iris Apfel's life and her wonderful style.  It's also a love story about Iris and her husband Carl.  Thoroughly enjoyable.
