snuggled in a nest of grass on the canal banking and hidden away from the towpath we found this - - - . it was a fascinating walk from the canal basin in Preston. The terraced houses backing onto the canal had put deckings down at the water's edge, cruisers of various age and water-worthiness were moored (we even met the waterways traffic attendant who was looking for illegal moorers). Some of the decks were done out as 'bars' with all sorts of decor - a definite for another trip! The swans were being very photogenic too but the cat won the day.
