Corridor for an Art Lover

A trip to Glasgow today to visit the House for an Art Lover that I've wanted to see for a few years. Charles Rennie Mackintosh seemed to get a bit devalued in the 80s/90s when you couldn't move for 'MOckintosh' jewellery, crockery, coasters, tea towels etc etc. However, this house is amazing and really brings it back to me how much I like (most of) his designs and of course his wife Margaret Macdonald who needs a mention as she is the artist who created the rose motifs, embroideries and plaques that are all thought of as Mackintosh.
The rooms went from dark to light and I must say I prefer the light colours, but this dark corridor with its window seats is really nice too and Ms H reckoned she was the perfect complement to it.
Another great thing is that you can touch and sit on everything, as can be seen in the extras, Ms H & Granny P in the ladies withdrawing room (the Oval Room). Apparently the piano was missing a few notes!
