Seeing is believing

Paid a quick visit to the Glasgow Art Club to see an exhibition called Connections, which draws from eight decades of work by leading Scottish artists.
This shows some of the paintings - doubled up because I liked the shine of the grand piano.
It's been organised by the Royal Glasgow Institute for the Fine Arts - or RGI for short.
All the artists whose work is on display - with the notable exception of Joan Eardley - were - or are - elected RGIs.
This is a peer-led honour which artists are rightly proud to place after their name.
I have to say I assumed the great Joan E was an RGI but you learn something every day.
Some lovely work. Particularly liked the Duncan Shanks paintings. The very colourful panting to the right in the middle of this photograph is one of his.
