Diego Rivera

Did a two hour stopover today to see Diego Rivera's murals in the Detroit Institute of Art.  Rivera was a Marxist who believed that art belonged on public walls rather than in private galleries.  Completed in 1933, the 27 Detroit Industry murals depict industry (including the Ford Motor Company) and technology as the indigenous culture of Detroit.

(I encourage you to go "full screen" to see this one)
