Camden Maine

We explored the quaint town of Camden Maine while staying at another lovely Inn called the High Tides Inn on the outskirts of Camden..  The harbor there was one of the prettiest and the views excellent. We enjoyed another great seafood lunch and took in a few of the shops and more touristy stores.  Then we drove all around the town to see the lovely New England homes...ones you imagine and they were!  Very elaborate woodwork and many restored to their earlier charms.  The Inn we were at had a lodge and some smaller motel room much like ones I remember staying in every once in awhile in the fifties or driving by as mostly we camped as a family.  We stayed in one of the motel rooms and it was cute and no frills perfect.  Once again, our stay included a continental breakfast---and warm homemade blueberry, raspberry, apple nut muffins and popovers.  The view from the main Inn where we dined was magnificent.  All this for just a tad over a hundred bucks.  Up in East Machias our room for four nights was 300 dollars which included a complete breakfast.  Less than 80/nite including tax ...I thought these were really good rates! So as I plod along with posting....please enjoy:)
Three extras of Camden scenery .
