The second half of life..

How wonderful to be able to spend the morning relaxing at Mission Bay.  just perfect :)

Drove over the Harbour Bridge to see R-A.........a bit of  a white knuckle drive as the winds were pretty strong.  I chose to drive on the centre section, not wanting to be anywhere near the edge, but even then, some of the gusts were enough to move the van around quite a bit.  Pretty glad to get back to regular ground level!

R-A is in a bit of a mess....... just over 7 weeks ago she had a nasty fall on a skifield down south resulting in a broken tibia and fibula and also, head of humerus.  She's held together with plates and pins and is not yet at the weight-bearing stage so has to get around by scooting with her good foot on a wheelchair.  Not so easy to wheel a wheelchair with your hands when one of your shoulders is broken!  She does seem to be in remarkably good spirits however so that's good.

Late this evening I zipped along the road to quickly capture this shot.  It's from the same spot as these two but the low, scudding clouds reflecting the hues of the city give it a more surreal feel.

Hope the wind drops for my drive back over the bridge tomorrow........
