Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirates Life For Me!

It was a panto sort of day today. Lunchtime was spent looking through the script and preparing for the music meeting tonight with the new musical director. We have been wanting this meeting for a while as it takes time to arrange the music and issue words to the cast so it was good to get together.
Guy has been in the panto band for 5 years now playing the drums and this year wanted to step up to the challenge of being MD. He brings new ideas and songs, and he was pretty matched with the assistant director (who also plays drums in another band!). For the 1st time ever we have some Pink Floyd music featuring!! A couple of favourites of mine have made it in and Tinkerbell’s love song solo is Taylor Swift’s ‘Love Story’ (so we hope the actress will appreciate the modern song!!).

The pirates just have the one recurring song ‘Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me’ … so hopefully it won’t be too taxing and they can get it learnt and perfected!! It was a good meeting and I can see life seeping into the panto now …. Onto the next rehearsal … which looking at the schedule is with the pirates … arrrr Jim lad!!
