My Year in Pictures

Jaws!

A rather grey and drizzly day so our plans for inside/under cover things worked a treat!

Off to Gouffre de Proumeysaac - the largest cave in the region and decided to take the "traditional" gondola descent down - a small basket type thing with a revolving floor so you could, so say, better experience the sensation of being lowered the 165 feet to the bottom of the cave! Definitely the best way to enter with a quite different perspective of the fabulous stalactites and stalagmites formations.

Headed to Limeuil for a wee wander (in the drizzle!) - such a pretty village so a bit of a shame the sky was so grey but still lovely as we walked the steep road right to the top and had a good explore.

Then onto the Aquarium du Perigord Noir - the largest private freshwater aquarium in Europe with lots of fish, reptiles and alligators. Someone was definitely in his element!

Fingers now crossed the forecast of wall to wall sunshine and 18 degrees is right for tomorrow, our last full day here!
