"Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding thru the glen"

I had planned, after meeting the  lovely damsel - not in distress - pictured here, referencing and referring to that most comely of feminine characters from English lore: "Maid Marian" the alleged love interest of that most noble of rugged English noblemen, Robert of Loxley -aka- Robin Hood

However, after doing a somewhat "exhaustive" research on her background family and educational foundation, well, well, the "story" of Lady Marian Fitzwalter (if in fact that's her true name) gets murky at best.

Suffice it to say, no one I ventured to 'read' has a definitive recounting of the lady, or anything accurate to inform the illiterate masses (like moi) desiring to learn more.

Heck, Lady Godiva and her history is relatively Michelle Obama by comparison!

So, I guess if you (and I) want to know more (or anything a'tall) regarding the "Maid" Marian, well here's guessing the character played on screen by Olivia de Havilland opposite Erroll Flynn's Robin Hood will have to do

Even if, by all accounts, that personification is an out and out fabrication.

(I'm getting too old for this stuff people)
