New Lanark

Not very sunny but a great day for a walk at New Lanark ... a village on the River Clyde about 40km from Glasgow. The village was founded in 1786 by David Dale, who built cotton mills and housing for the mill workers. It's a wonderful area to visit. Great scones in the cafe, superb shop and then a walk along the river and up to the Falls of Clyde. The river level was fairly low but the view was as magnificent as ever.
