Shaggy dog

I covet these peony roses which belong to my next door neighbour. Fortunately they encroach onto my side of the fence so I can share in their beauty. They have enormous heads. Tonight they reminded me of a shaggy pink toy dog I was given as a child. I was very fond of the dog until it became all dusty and flattened with love.
Although the sun is shining on these tonight, I think the rain might flatten these beauties.
