Thanks for the memories

Christmas catalogues galore lately, and here's an item that caught my eye today.
Back in the 1960s, my Dad had a pale blue Messerchmitt bubble-car.
It was such a funny little thing, decorated with a rubber troll swinging from the rear-view mirror, brought back from my first venture abroad, a school trip to Denmark in 1964. It went like a rocket as far as I remember, but was so low it felt as though you were scudding along on your bottom, looking up in trepidation at buses and lorries.
I don't remember when Dad sold it, and I won't be buying the model, but it was a nice surprise to see the beast again after all these years.
