Rainy Saturday road trip to St.Jacob's market

Hubby out the door early for a row while the weather is still mild, then a quick breakfast and home. He picked me up and we donned the rain jackets and boots and drove to St. Jacob's Mennonite market for our annual fall purchases. We normally go in mid November but this weekend worked out best. Loaded up on 30lb each of apples, bosc pears, carrots and potatoes with a bag of grapes thrown in to eat on the car ride home. We also each got a pair of new jeans at the outlet mall. Round trip was 3 hrs and we really hurried so we could catch young son's hockey game on the internet (lost by 1). Because we went earlier than normal this year the winter/ Christmas outdoor arrangements were not on sale yet. We are hoping to persuade Mr and Ms hazelh to take this road trip with us when they are here in a few weeks. Post Hockey game I slipped off to the pool for my weekly laps while hubby read the paper(napped). Our baseball team sadly lost last night by 1, so we now turn our attention to the National Hockey League (go Habs go).
