Today we set off eastwards to stay in Emre's apartment in Iskele. On the way we visited Kantara Castle perched high in the mountains giving views of the sea below - both to the north and south as it is situated at the beginning of the Karpas peninsular. We also searched for, and eventually found in the mountains, the deserted  Belusa Monastery(extra blip). Emre is an architect working for the N. Cyprus Government and is very interested in the conservation of the cultural buildings heritage.
