People on the water

It's always good to see people making use of the river. These two were speeding along past the house on the incoming tide when I went out at about 1:00pm. Or was it 2:00? Or 12:00? The clocks went back last night which makes an extra hour today but means it's a long time till we have lighter evenings.

I did get into the garden for an hour or so to sweep up leaves and top up the compost in the pots. The leaf sweeping is a bit pointless I know as they'll be falling thick and fast for several weeks to come but it's good to make leaf mould with them. Got it underway for this autumn. Otherwise a lazy day after yesterday's work.
