Derelict Sunday:  Bicycle Graveyard

I spotted this derelict on the edge of the Bristol to Bath cycle path this morning, on our way  across the fields to Kelston to watch the Bristol to Bath Marathon runners as they toiled up the hill from Swinford to Kelston, at mile 22, on their way to the finish, just another 4 miles away in Bath.  It was beautifully sunny and still, but not too warm, perfect for the runners.  Although by mile 22 after the hill into Kelston many were clearly engaged in the mental test that any endurance event eventually becomes... as you can see from my extra.

Cathy and I very much enjoyed our scrambled eggs and smoked salmon at the pub, while we watched the poor devils go pass.  Then a walk home back across the fields and time for me to cook the first of the puddings mixed yesterday and to make the Christmas cake (gluten free again).  The cake is in the oven now, we should be able to start to smell it soon  - a lovely thing to look forward to.

Many thanks to Freespiral for organising Derelict Sunday.  Do feel free to take part, and tag your entries:  DS1, derelictsunday, derelictsunday1.
