Former Jute Mill

10.5C and dull. Feeling cold. Light breeze.

Grocery shopping this morning at Sainsburys and in M&S at City Quay/Gallagher Retail Park in Dundee then we drove along to the former Jute Mill belonging to William Halley & Son Ltd to look for something suitably large and derelict for the reintroduction of the Derelict Thursday challenge in its new form of Derelict Sunday ... with many thanks to Freespiral!

A fine view of the former Jute Mill was posted on Blipfoto with an excellent history by CannyScot back in June 2014 before the last plan for the redevelopment was published in November 2014.

Before lunch Apothecary7 and I took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk. We went up to the church then down the field with the bridle path, then back along the cycle path and along towards Carnoustie then up the main road and round to home.

World Cup rugby union semi final on the telly later this afternoon when it is Argentina v Australia.
New Zealand's cynical penalty strewn play in their half of the field in the first half yesterday made sure they kept South Africa limited to penalty opportunities and lead to their progression to the final.

F1 qualifying limited by rain in Austin Texas but a grid has been decided for the race should conditions allow.
