Apple Day

We visited Barrington Court near Ilminster this morning for their annual Apple Day. It's the first time we've been and the smells and autumn colours were stunning.

After we'd helped collect the windfall apples we then watched them go through the milling process (and Alex helped turn the milling wheel too), onto the pressing and juicing stage and then tasted the yummy end result. We all had a fantastic time and it was difficult to choose just one photo to upload today.

The autumn palette of leaves there was truly breathtaking and there was an amazing sundial too. An excellent day was had by all and we'll definitely be going back as we ran out of time today so didn't get to visit the main house. Think our National Trust membership will be well worth the money over the coming months.
