Whooper swans

Not a great shot in the grey light, but it was nice to see eleven whooper swans on the Peedie Sea in Kirkwall this afternoon. There were reports from several other places in the islands of whoopers so it looks like a wave of the birds has arrived from the summer habitat in Iceland.
