Autumn Antics

This moribund leaf, one of hundreds on the Japanese maple in the backyard, seems to be going out in high-stepping style!

I'm glad that I took this photo today, as it's raining tonight and many of the leaves, both the red ones and the older brown ones like this leaf, will be on the ground Monday morning. The two Japanese maples in the front yard are just beginning to change color, so perhaps there will be some more dancing leaves to blip in a few weeks.

This aged leaf certainly sets a fine example of how to live with zest right to the end!
