Where the Light Gets In

A super Sunday: woke up at the crack of dawn (as if!), which meant that we were barely ready at 2 pm to take the train into Paris, then the métro to Montrouge to visit the exhibition I talked about on Friday.

We had originally planned on going on Saturday, but we saw that the scheduled guided tour had been cancelled, so opted out. The funny thing is, we arrived early, took ourselves on an unguided tour of the exhibition (56 artists), which included seeing Louise's pieces. We had finished by the time the guided tour started, and so decided not to take it. We'd seen a few things we'd liked, a lot that we probably didn't understand, and it was enough for us.

We repaired to a café and restaurant where we had our late lunch (which British blippers would most likely name "tea", as it was about four when we arrived, and more than five when we left the restaurant), then took a short walk in the neighbourhood before going back underground, on our way to Paris where we went to see Journey to the Shore by Kiyoshi Kurosawa.

The return journey (ours, not the protagonists'!) was quite epic (though less than the protagonists', I have to admit): we ran to the bus stop as the bus was already there when we came out of the cinema, so we were well in time to catch the 10pm train back home. However, due to multiple incidents, not only was this train cancelled, but the next one, at 11pm, was delayed. We ended up leaving the station at 11.30, and were not home before quarter past midnight.

However, this didn't dampen my enthusiasm about the day, which you can have a photographic taste of in Flickr.
