I Can't BELIEVE You Are Touching That Painting!

I don't care who you are!! That is a rare 19th century work and the oils and acids on your hands will deteriorate the surface!!!!

Actually this is the appraiser who came down from New York to work on an appraisal for the couple for whom I work. All us museum people have altered genes which came with our degrees that make our skins acid neutral and completely oil free so we can touch works of art with our bare hands and not damage them. But we ARE professionals, so do not try this at home (or in a museum).
