Studio View inside the Mack

This afternoon I spent about 45 minutes inside the Mackintosh Building at the Glasgow School of Art.

Since the fire last year, a lot of work has been undertaken in the East Wing of the School. A decontamination programme of the East Wing has now been completed. This task was carried out by Polygon, a decontamination and cleaning firm who specialise in post-fire and flood work, has seen the East side of the building scrubbed clean using environmentally friendly cleaning products.

The result of the cleaning, combined with a parallel project to strip out later panelling and partitions, is that this side of the building now looks and smells fresh and bright.
