Painting the bridge pink

I had a most enjoyable day meeting up with Lorna and seeing and capturing the Firth of Forth bridges with her. Now of course the Forth Rail Bridge is red, in fact it's finally painted red with a paint that won't start to fall off the moment the painters have reached the middle of the bridge. But I've painted it pink just for this last week of October. The two present bridges are excellent examples of Scottish engineering. The new one under construction is going to be another miracle. Most impressive when looking up at the foundation pillars from the bank of the Firth of Forth right underneath the Forth Road Bridge! See the extra and if you look at it closely you'll be able to see the orange high visibility jackets of two men getting down the stairs to tell you something about the size of it all.
To top it all off there were crepuscular rays ovelooking the Grangemouth refinery when we got back to Lorna's house, making it all look rather apocalyptic. Lovely company and beautiful photo opportunities, what more can a photographer want :-)

I don't think it will fit in with today's Mono Monday theme of Origins, so it's purely for Pink October in this final week of October. Please, if you have the time, do visit the Breast Cancer site and click on the pink bar to help fund free mammograms for those who can't afford them otherwise. Thanks so much for that.

And once more, thank you very much for your continued visits, comments and stars for my pink Blips this month, so very appreciated.
