Cycle Path Etiquette and the Shredded Wheel...

I have this cycle path etiquette rule that I think is held by others....

If you have to move across the path to pass another cyclist or pedestrian and there's someone coming the opposite direction, you slow down to let the opposite direction pass first before moving across to pass.

This morning we came across someone who doesn't hold that rule.  We were both heading toward a pedestrian, he had to move across.  He didn't slow down, I had to slow down and ended up with Insto running into me and clattering off his bike whilst my rear wheel took the brunt of it and I lost half my spokes.

I don't think the guy even stopped more than a couple of seconds to help out.

Idiot!!!
