Disco Shades

Behold the disco shades fly.  Latin name boogius downus

apparently it's a Black Soldier Fly. The adult male has no functioning mouth parts. He lives up to five days. His only purpose is to find a mate. They can be found around compost heaps and getting down with their bad selves on the dance floor.
