OOH AAH, OOH AAH

This is a pirate gargoyle on one of the buildings at St Monica's. - very suitable for Bristol from whence came  Blackbeard  (Google him). Gargoyles are waterspouts which project from an upper part of a building or a roof gutter to throw water clear of walls or foundations. The origin of 'gargoyle' is from the old French word 'gargouille' meaning throat.
