Pearl farm @ Hạ Long Bay

We had to be at breakfast at about 7.30am but it was worth getting up early just for the view from my balcony (see extra photo). We visited a pearl farm in the bay and learnt about how they use the oysters to produce the pearls. It was actually pretty interesting.

We had to check out of our rooms early so they could clean the rooms ready for the next boat-load. We had a "cooking class" which actually just involved us making a fresh spring roll each. We had an early lunch and then headed back to civilisation and made the most of taking in the last of this beautiful area.

We got the bus back to Hanoi and most people slept. I checked back in to the same hotel, had a rest and then met Aimee, her housemate Cam and his girlfriend Linh for drinks and dinner. I couldn't stay out late as I was in zombie mode from the early starts.
