Kadikoy

We discovered this morning the day wouldn't go quite as planned and the fall back isn't open either, so we trundled down the hill in the funicular and got the ferry to Kadikoy with a plan to do nothing much except have lunch which we managed to execute with ease. We looked at shops and even bought some things before wandering around the pier and the sea front. All the political parties were out leafleting for next week's elections; they didn't seem to mind all being in the same place at the same time. Further along, this band was impromptu gigging for the waiting bus passengers and it was a decent trade, I thought, spending 10TL on their untitled CD for a few moments enjoying their music. Nothing cerebral, just people watching and atmosphere. Good fun.
