Stolpersteine

These are 'Stolpersteine', placed on the 20th of June in New-Amsterdam, by the artist Gunter Demnig. These cobble stones commemorate victims of the Holocaust, both those who died and survivors - who were consigned by the Nazis to prisons, euthanasia facilities, sterilization clinics, concentration camps, and extermination camps.

These particular Stolpersteine are for Roosje Braaf, Marcus Denneboom, Carel Denneboom and Walter Cohen. The first three were deported and killed in Sobibor in 1943, Walter was deported and killed in Aushwitz in 1942.
